Municipal Savings

Our towns and municipalities would see significant savings with Single Payer Health Care.  These savings could go to support our school systems, our deteriorating infrastructure, and more.

Please note:  An employer's single-payer savings are greater than what is calculated on its current insurance premiums. Single Payer also eliminates other health insurance premiums embedded in Workers Comp, liability insurance, and auto insurance. It eliminates the Employer Medical Assistance Contribution (EMAC). And employers save time and energy by no longer negotiating with insurance companies or third-party administrators. Labor bargaining over health insurance ends.

Employee savings are greater too. Single Payer eliminates co-pays, deductibles, and all other out-of-pocket expenses. Shopping for health insurance, applying and re-applying, and losing it when you lose your job all end. Single Payer also eliminates health insurance premiums embedded in homeowners and auto insurance.
