2026 Mass-Care Medicare for All Conference

Please join us for our state-wide strategy and working conference on July 18th from 10 am to 4 pm at Clark University in Worcester.

Background: The health care crisis in Massachusetts continues to deepen. Exorbitant insurance rates have soared by double digits, the bankruptcy of Steward Hospitals has left minority and working class communities without access to hospitals, stopping the ACA subsidy extensions has affected over 300,000 residents, and GIC eliminated weight loss drugs from plans of 400,000 public employees and their dependents.

Our path to single payer through the Massachusetts Health Care Trust is the only solution providing complete coverage to all Massachusetts residents and will save tens of billions of dollars for residents, cities, towns, and the state.

Conference Schedule: The conference will consist of morning workshops and afternoon breakout sessions.

Workshops in the morning:

• Community organizing, municipal & non-binding ballot questions. What have we learned?
• Our strategy calls for winning the Massachusetts Health Care Trust by either a state-wide binding ballot question or through the legislature. Where do we stand on each of these approaches?
• Sharpening our messaging to fight for creation of the Massachusetts Health Care Trust – social media, letters to the editor, forums and more.
• Building the coalition in your town. How to meet and talk to potential allies in your town. Businesses, unions, community groups, elected officials.

Break-out sessions by sector in the afternoon:

• Community organizers and municipal officials
• Labor and healthcare workers
• Business
• Physicians and Practitioners

We hope you and your organization will join us as we collectively work to “up the ante” on our elected leaders to save our healthcare and enact Medicare for All in Massachusetts.

Registration Information: There is $50 registration fee, but no one will be turned away. Sponsor the conference for $100 to support the work of Mass-Care. Additional donations welcome.
